Trinidad Boys Club MUGA

Updated 9th June 2011

Official opening of the new Multi-Use Games Area and refurbishment of the Community Hall

With the Mayor of Poole

Thursday 2nd June

A successful opening event saw local families able to enjoy the new MUGA as well as meet the staff from 'Trinidad Tiddlewinks' pre-school in the hall.  Prizes were awarded to winners of the football and basketball competitions.

A new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) has been installed on land beside the Trinidad Boys Club on Rossmore Road.

A public on-site get-together was held with residents and Leisure Services staff on 3rd August 2010 and the layout of the new MUGA agreed in September (see image right).

Work started on site on 13th February 2011.

The MUGA is suitable for football, cricket, basketball and other ball games for all age groups and abilities.  Bins, benches, lights and bike racks will all be added to enhance the new facility.

An early years children's group will be using the building from April, and will be locking the MUGA for their own use between 9am - 3pm on weekdays during term time only.  Outside of these hours and during school holidays it is open to public use.

Trinidad Community Hall

Work on the MUGA followed refurbishment of the 'Trinidad Boy's Club' building alongside it, which has now been renamed ‘Trinidad Community Hall’.

The building is used twice weekly, on a Tuesday & Thursday evening, by Poole Amateur Boxing Club.  For further details visit www.pooleabc.co.uk
