Playbuilder funding 2009-2011

Important news update 9th May 2011

A reduced grant of £365,000 has been received from central government.

Councillors have decided that rather than spending the funds on all 11 sites and achieving minor improvements, that Leisure Services should concentrate on improving 6 sites - Millfield, Selkirk Close, Pergin Recreation Ground, Charter Road, Parkway and Hatchards Field.

These six were selected from the original 11 projects by considering the numbers of children living within 400m of the sites, and choosing those that are likely to be used by the highest number of 8-13 year olds.

The projects will be delivered during 2011 with regular online updates provided.
