22 Playbuilder Projects 2009-2011

Your local play area is changing!

Have your say in it's future

In April 2009 Borough of Poole was awarded more than £1 million in 'Playbuilder' funding for the improvement of 22 play areas in two years.  School children and residents were consulted and the first 11 play areas have been completed.

Important news update 22nd July

The Secretary of State for Education has announced that the Department of Education needs to identify savings from a number of capital budgets in 2010-2011.

The Playbuilder budget is one of those identified as having to make savings.

With immediate effect all local authorities have been told to avoid incurring costs in relation to Playbuilder grant.  Regrettably, this means that the Borough of Poole must suspend any further work on the 11 Year 2 Playbuilder sites until the financial situation is clarified in November.  As soon as we hear anything further we will update this website.
