Poole Harbour Canoe Club

Updated 30th June 2010

Please note: The PHCC project is on hold whilst extra funding is sought and lease issues are overcome

This project makes use of the derelict swimming bath plot beside Poole Park lake on Park Lake Road, where Poole Harbour Canoe Club are to set up a new placid water base.

Work is on-going to provide a lease for the club and attract the final funding required to satisfy the various planning permission constraints and building control measures.  Once all the factors are in place we will take delivery of two steel cabins that will then be clad in timber and roofed.

Work will then progress to fit out a changing room complete with toilet and hand wash facilities.  Other space will provide storage for canoes and equipment.

The plot will be landscaped, with new gates and railings installed, followed by some tree planting.

The new facilities are important to club members in their pursuit of sporting qualifications, and with their training for national and international competitions.
