The project story in the Bournemouth Echo

14th January

A new stretch of footpath is being created from the Station Road pedestrian crossing.

A new two-pitch pétanque (boules) terrain will be created alongside Commercial Road, behind the telephone box; the footpath here will be straightened to create the space needed.

In other areas work continues to break up worn out tarmac in preparation for new surfaces.

12th January 2011

Currently the path surfacing and broken edgings are being removed and the fountain is being dismantled.  Fencing restricts pedestrian access and protects the trees from damage by the works.
