OFFICIALLY
OPENED by local school children on Monday 15th February 2010
The first of
twenty two Poole Playbuilder sites! Installers made an early start at Sherborn
Crescent when a job elsewhere in the country was postponed.
The play area was closed on 28th October and re-opened on a sunny
Saturday, 7th November.
The original
play equipment has been repainted, and three new items
installed - a roundabout, zip wire and jungle climber.
New
seating and a litter bin were installed in March and again in April,
but were vandalised on both occasions; the decision has now been
made to remove them permanently.
10th Nov,
the zip wire with Matta tiles installed to protect against
wear-and-tear
11th Feb;
the invitation goes out for the official opening on Monday
9th Nov, the
new roundabout and repainted climbing frame
10th Nov,
the new jungle climber - installed into green 'Cushionfall'
Unfortunately,
we experienced some problems over the first weekend when the
security fencing was brought down and part of the zip wire was
damaged by fire on Sunday night.
2nd Nov, the zip
wire 'launch pad' suffered fire damage
3rd Nov, the zip
wire (a replacement launch pad has been borrowed from another
